Lake City Farmers Market Opens June 14th

The vibrant colors and flavors of Lake City’s Farmers Market will soon be returning. Every Thursday afternoon this summer from June 14th through October 11th the market will be open in front of the Lake City Library on 28th Ave from 3:00-7:00pm. This year’s market features new vendors, including Grateful Bread, as well as music, cooking demonstrations and lots of activities.

Host a Sign

The Farmers Market is also looking for help this year. Would you be willing to “host” one of these market signs in your front yard?  If so, stop by Kaffeeklatsch. Write your name down and take an orange sign home with you. Signs can be posted beginning June 8th and stay up through the last market day on October 11th. Sign “hosts” will also receive a special market thank you for their efforts.

Volunteer at the Market

Market organizers are also looking for volunteers to help with activities throughout the market season. There are many opportunities to help and new ideas are welcomed. Since the market opens on Flag Day, for example, there’ll be a flag-making activity. Are you creative or like to craft?  Contact Molly if you’d like to volunteer – molly@seattlefarmersmarkets.org.
